13 Week 6 Day Ultrasound

So I know I just posted yesterday, but I had an unexpected ultrasound this morning. Well ok, so it wasn’t really unexpected, I had an Early Genetic Screening where I thought they were just going to look at something to do with measuring the back of the baby’s neck and take some blood (ouch that stupid finger prick really hurt!!!)

Well instead of just looking at the neck and taking measurements I got to watch the baby move a lot! The heartbeat at the beginning was 151 and he/she wasn’t moving a lot, the Ultrasound Tech said he/she must have been asleep. Then she (the tech) started pushing around with the scanner thingy and did the measurements, we got to see the baby I guess wake up and start really moving. He/She was kicking and punching and bucking itself around, I got to watch it flip itself over (got to see the back, spine, and butt) then he/she flipped back over and did a whole lot more kicking and punching. It was so strange to see all that movement and I couldn’t feel anything.
