I was looking at the ultrasounds where they had captured her sucking on her thumb, boy howdy she still does that! It is hard to believe that the little baby I carried in me for so long is now 7 months old. Man does the time fly!

Looking Back
So it hit me today that it has been more than a year since I started this blog to keep up on what is going on with our family. I went back and started reading my posts, yes I laughed, I cried and thought "oh if you only knew what I know now". It tickled me when I read all the comments I made about the hiccups, Fi still gets them, she can get them two to three times a day. Thankfully I don't get them as often, but I have had them a couple of times where they hit me just as I am rocking her to sleep (stupid hiccups!). They aren't suppose to hurt her, which I am very thankful for.

First Snow
Ok, so it isn't really her first snow, we did have a snow awhile back but she was too small to get out in it. So this is her first Snow Experience! It snowed really good here yesterday the 20th, we got about 4 1/2 to 5 inches. Mike and I decided to get Fiona out in it.

The first Snow Suit we put her in was really way to big. It looked so funny I had to post it!

This one fit her alot better, but she kinda reminded me of Ralphy's brother from A Christmas Story
She seemed to like the snow she was smiling when mike put some in his hand and had her touch it.
He had her kinda taking steps in it and she would shake her foot kinda with each step.
Aren't they cute?
Here is a link to the video I shot of them out in the snow.

Pictures of Fiona
Firsts and lots of them
Well, we have had a pretty few days. Fiona is sitting up by herself, she can actually sit there for quite sometime, and I don't mean 5 minutes I am talking about 15-20 minutes before she falls over. Now of course this is if she isn't tired and doesn't want something that is out of her reach, because then she just falls over toward the item if she can't lean toward it enough to get it.

Saturday the 15th my sister came over and took a lot of pictures (they were fabulous) and Fi did so well sitting up for so long for the pictures. That was really the first day she had been sitting up by herself for long periods at a time. (I'll put some of the pictures in a later post)
Then Sunday the 16th she had her first drink from a sippy cup. She actually was able to drink some of the water.

Then Monday night (the 17th) she waved for the first time!
Unfortunately I don't have a picture of her waving, but believe me it is cute.Sigh, she is growing up so fast I just can't believe it.
Here is a link to a very cute video of my girl sitting up.
6 month Checkup
Well, we had our 6 month checkup on Wednesday the 12th. Fiona is still in the 50% percentile on weight and height! Wahoo baby girl!
I took this picture of her and mike after the appointment was over and we were getting ready to leave.
She has gained (of course!) and now weighs 16 pounds 4.6 oz and is 25 3/4" in length. She had to get some shots again, poor baby, but she did really well. She only cried when she got them, after a few moments of crying and being cuddled by momma she was fine.
I took this picture of her and mike after the appointment was over and we were getting ready to leave. She is currently eating two meals a day and will soon start on three a day. I tell you there is alot to the nutrition part of feeding an infant. But we are having fun with it also.
She loves her peaches, pears and apples. And poor baby, she likes those prunes. She isn't crazy on the veggies but will eat them and usually tries to eat the bowl and spoon along with the veggies.
