Well, I know it has taken me a while to post - sorry about that - I didn't realize how tired I would be after bringing Fi home. It has taken awhile for me to get semi-used to the non-existent sleeping schedule. Where to begin; well we went in to be induced Thursday July 8th, Mike and my sister Ashley were in the delivery room with me.

It was a long day (and yes if you ask I did decided on having the epidural, of course this was decided when I was actually in labor) 13 hours in labor and just when everyone had left to get dinner and some rest for the evening it was time for Fi to come. Poor Mike was frantically calling everyone to get back up to the hospital. Fiona Dawn Baker made her appearance at 8:44 p.m. on Thursday July 8th, 2010. She weighed 7 lbs 11 oz and measured 20" in length.
I wasn't sure if Mike was going to cut the cord, but he did, I know he thought it would be gross and wasn't sure if he was going to be able to hang in during the whole labor but he did great. I know he was more amazed during the whole thing than anything else.
I couldn't believe how much hair my girl has, she had a thick head of dark brown hair from the start. I am still hoping that the red from me will show up, but of course she is beautiful just the way she is.

I think the hardest thing now is the waiting, contractions have started but they come and go which can get really annoying. I have decided that I would mush rather the real contractions just start and bring me a (hopefully) redheaded little girl. Mike is really hoping for a July 4th baby, I think he just really wants an excuse for fireworks at every birthday party!
