Welcome Little One!!!

Well, I know it has taken me a while to post - sorry about that - I didn't realize how tired I would be after bringing Fi home. It has taken awhile for me to get semi-used to the non-existent sleeping schedule. Where to begin; well we went in to be induced Thursday July 8th, Mike and my sister Ashley were in the delivery room with me.

It was a long day (and yes if you ask I did decided on having the epidural, of course this was decided when I was actually in labor) 13 hours in labor and just when everyone had left to get dinner and some rest for the evening it was time for Fi to come. Poor Mike was frantically calling everyone to get back up to the hospital. Fiona Dawn Baker made her appearance at 8:44 p.m. on Thursday July 8th, 2010. She weighed 7 lbs 11 oz and measured 20" in length.
I wasn't sure if Mike was going to cut the cord, but he did, I know he thought it would be gross and wasn't sure if he was going to be able to hang in during the whole labor but he did great. I know he was more amazed during the whole thing than anything else.

I couldn't believe how much hair my girl has, she had a thick head of dark brown hair from the start. I am still hoping that the red from me will show up, but of course she is beautiful just the way she is.

Almost 39 weeks!

Well I had my (hopefully) last doctors appointment today, and looks like we are ready to go!!! I am at least 2 centimeters dilated and 50% effaced, we are going to be induced on Thursday the 8th!!! Hopefully by that afternoon we will have a new Baker enter the family!
Wednesday may be the last good nights sleep we get for quite some time, but this is so totally worth it!

38 Weeks = Only 2 to go!!!

So I forgot again to post my belly shot for last week. Blame it on those stupid pregnancy brain lapses!!! Here we are at 37 weeks, and you can tell she has dropped some.
According to the size charts Fi is about the size of a watermelon.
Now just look at these, does that seem really possible? Not to me! If she has to be melon size, please oh please let it be the smallest one!!!
And here we are today at 38 weeks!!
Boy I had a busy weekend this last one, cleaned out closets, put up the crib (ok so Mike put the crib up), set up the bedding, fully packed our bags, went through and finished washing all of Fi's stuff. I think I am almost ready for her to come home, just need some shelves up (hint hint Michael Richard!) and we are done.
I think the hardest thing now is the waiting, contractions have started but they come and go which can get really annoying. I have decided that I would mush rather the real contractions just start and bring me a (hopefully) redheaded little girl. Mike is really hoping for a July 4th baby, I think he just really wants an excuse for fireworks at every birthday party!
