Squiggles and Nudges

Well, I've been feeling all the little flutters that turned into squiggles a few weeks ago, then last week I started getting nudges from Fi. Last night however was the first time Mike got to feel her moving around. He said it was like a little rub on the inside of his hand.

He was so excited to feel it and I was thrilled he got to finally felt her move. Even though I've been feeling her for awhile now I couldn't wait for Mike to feel it too and join me in the thrill of it all!!!

Naming and all that stuff

Well, since most of our friends and family know by now what the name is, I thought I would go ahead and post it on our blog. We decided on Fiona Dawn.

There it is folks in plain writing.

We decided to go with a Celtic first name and a family name for the middle (no I won't tell what we had planned for a boy since we hope to have one later and we will be using that name). Fiona was probably one of the few we really liked that wasn't overly popular, I just really don't know anyone with that name, but also not weird and complicated. Dawn is in honor of my (Heather's) maternal grandfather Billy Don Evans.

Why a Celtic first name you ask? Well since mike and I both have Irish and Scottish ancestry we thought to keep the name in that heritage.

We really like how the name flows Fiona Dawn Baker, say it with me a few times.
